10
Ryan and I celebrated our 10th anniversary yesterday! We went to Whistler for 5 days. Here are some pics from our the hike in Whistler.
The boys did great with Aunt Angie and Grammie Becky while we were away. In fact, they had more fun than if we were home!

Keeping Up With the Klassens II
Smoothie mustache! I think it suits him. Maybe in 15-20 years he'll try a real one.
He wasn't too impressed with the snow. :)
He's not actually jumping on Isaac's head. Ha!
Can you guess where we went for a family day?
Keeping Up With the Klassens
Before I add some pictures, I feel like I need to update you on our goings-on since it's been an eon since my last post.
Isaac is 20 months and talking up a storm. It's 4-word sentences now and he parrots everything we say. He calls Levi "Le-li," which is so endearing and reflects the sweet spot he has for his big brother. He loves to color and tries his hardest to keep up with the big boys.
Levi's almost 4. Wow! He is a mature (and sometimes bossy) little man. Yesterday I was doing something that was out of line and he informed me that I shouldn't be doing that. He's already parenting me. He likes to say things too old for his age like, "I assume" but still says cute things like, "Stop ignoying (annoying) me." Four other moms and I do a little co-op preschool for our boys once a week. He has been loving it and learning a lot. He is learning his letters and enjoying seeing them everywhere.
Both boys love to read, run, wrestle, and race cars. And they are both so sweet--except when they're not. :)
Ryan is working at two jobs: as a woodshop teacher at Lynden Middle School in the morning and as a cabinet maker at Visser Cabinetworks in the afternoon. He has really enjoyed the challenge, fun, and different atmosphere of teaching. We are very thankful that his boss at the cabinet shop allowed him to go half-time and try this out. He still plays frisbee golf as much as possible (which isn't near enough these days) and recently placed 2nd in the advanced division of the Ice Bowl tournament at Cornwall Park here in Bellingham.
I am still working .25 as an online English teacher. I teach mainly AP and credit retrieval courses--so the two ends of the spectrum. I enjoy it enough, and it allows me to focus on my boys during the day.
Thank you for taking interest in our family. We covet your prayers as we raise our boys to know, love, and obey Jesus and as we try to do the same ourselves.

The Big One
We can't believe our baby is already a 1-year-old. We have been so delighted by him--his sweet, loving, joyful demeanor; his determined, I'm-not-giving-up, nature; his pleasant mix of sociability and independence. He weaned himself cold-turkey at 10 months (to my chagrin). His nickname so far is "Baby Zilla" because he roams the house like a miniature Godzilla looking for things to destroy and devour. We've had to baby-proof cupboards and shelves that Levi was never interested in. Yet he rarely cries (for long at least) and is easily satisfied. He thrives when he's around people (can 'ya tell from the photos?), and yet doesn't have to be the center of attention. It was a pleasure to put him in the spotlight today, however, as we celebrated his first birthday. Happy Birthday, Issac Warren! We love you!
